CHRIS IGLESIAS

Years of service: 2024 - Present

Chris Iglesias was raised in Azle, Texas, where he attended Azle ISD schools K-12 and first discovered the lifelong impact of youth sports and community. After graduation, he left Azle for over a decade to pursue his professional career, ultimately holding executive-level leadership roles in multiple medium to large organizations across North America. With a strong background in operations, organizational growth, and team development, Chris has led national initiatives, built scalable systems, and managed large teams across the country.

Today, Chris serves in a senior executive role at LGCY Power, one of the nation's leading solar energy companies. There, he is responsible for national operations, strategic partnerships, and driving long-term growth—experience that uniquely equips him to lead and elevate Azle Youth Sports (AYS).

Chris and his wife, Lacy Iglesias, made the intentional decision to return to Azle to raise their children—Christian "Max" (12) and Briar (9)—in the same community that shaped his own values. Some of his most meaningful childhood memories were formed at Azle Youth Association (AYA)—playing multiple seasons, building lifelong friendships, and proudly earning the six-year trophy at AYA's annual league ceremony. It's that same spirit of recognition and tradition that Chris and the current AYS board are working to bring back for today's athletes starting this upcoming season.

As President of Azle Youth Sports, Chris's vision is to create a sustainable, inclusive, and well-organized program that puts kids first. He's focused on elevating the standard of youth sports in Azle through strong leadership, transparency, and a community-first mindset. His goal is for every child—regardless of skill level—to have a positive and empowering experience that builds confidence, character, and a lifelong love for the game.

Chris is passionate about creating a positive environment where today's youth can thrive—and he feels honored to serve the community that gave so much to him.

A MESSAGE FROM CHRIS TO THE AYS COMMUNITY

"I'm incredibly honored to serve as President of Azle Youth Sports. As someone who grew up in this community and benefited from the values and friendships that youth sports provided, I'm passionate about giving that same experience to the next generation. Our goal is simple: to create a program that's well-run, inclusive, and centered around the kids—building confidence, character, and community along the way. I'm excited to work alongside the board, coaches, and families to make impactful improvements to the organization."

lacy IGLESIAS

Lacy Iglesias was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and has proudly called Azle home since 1991. A 2003 graduate of Azle High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Chris Iglesias, and the two  celebrated 15 years of marriage in September of 2025. After graduation, Lacy worked at the Second Court of Appeals before relocating to Pennsylvania for Chris's career. Eventually, the couple returned to Azle to raise their family in the same tight-knit community where they grew up.

Their son, Max, plays tackle football, basketball, golf, and 7v7 football, while their daughter, Briar, keeps busy with cheerleading, tumbling, basketball, and volleyball.

Lacy began working for Azle ISD in 2017 and has served in multiple roles for Azle ISD. Her dedication and heart for the community have earned her several honors, including Para of the Year (2019 & 2025), More Cowbell Award (2022), Heart of Azle (2024), and Favorite Azle ISD Employee (2025).

Some of Lacy's favorite childhood memories include cheering and performing with the Azle Youth Association's drill team and cheer programs—experiences that helped shape her deep connection to the town. This upcoming season, she and her family are especially excited to compete in a new league that includes several other competitive communities, continuing the legacy of spirit and sportsmanship they love so much.
